Introducing Sage CRM 2018

Sage CRM 2018 is now available. Enhancements in this newest version focus on continued calendar improvements, ease of use, and simplified navigation across the product. Let’s take a closer look.

Sage CRM 2018 Calendar

You may have noticed that enhancing Calendar functions has been a focus over the last couple of new releases and version 2018 continues that trend. Because the Calendar is at the heart of so many activities in Sage CRM, the following improvements are now available:

Task Quick Complete - Allows you to complete a task with a single click. Completed tasks are automatically removed from the screen when filtering by ‘Pending’.

Drag and Drop Calendar Appointments - Appointments can be moved by dragging and dropping it to a new time in the Day, Week, Work Week and Month views.

Sage 100c Name Change

Just when you thought you had the different product names figured out, we learned that Sage will be changing the name of Sage 100c. Effective in March 2018, Sage 100c will be renamed to Sage 100cloud.

It’s primarily a marketing change designed to align Sage 100c with other cloud-focused products and services. However, there’s no new licensing or features to become familiar with. Same product, different name.

Sage Sessions Live Events Coming to a City Near You

Earlier this year, Sage announced that in lieu of hosting a big annual Sage Summit event like we’ve seen in years past, the company has decided to take the show on the road and get closer to customers on their home turf.

The newly-formatted “Sage Sessions” tour is comprised of a series of live regional events throughout the U.S. and Canada. Similar to Sage Summit but more compact, Sage Sessions is a single-day event featuring a keynote, breakout sessions, product demos, and a lunch & mingle reception that provides networking opportunities. Each stop will also feature a scaled-down trade show and opportunities to speak with product experts from Sage and third parties.

There are currently 10 stops scheduled in the U.S. and Canada as follows:

Los Angeles - February 13 (Registration Now Open)
Chicago - April 25
Toronto - May
Dallas - May
Atlanta - June 5
Montreal - June 26
Edmonton - July 11
New York City - July 24
Seattle - August 7
Vancouver - September 18

Pricing is $29 for early birds (up to 1 week prior to the event) and $49 standard after that.

A Closer Look at Enhancements in Version 2018

With the release of Sage 100 and 100cloud Version 2018 late last year, the Job Cost module was totally redesigned and modernized to improve performance and usability. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the improvements.

Enhancements Summary

At a high level, the following enhancements were applied to Job Cost 2018 (aka Job Cost 2.0):
  • Integrates with Payroll, A/R, and A/P along with implementation of a better file structure for improved performance
  • Better and more seamless reporting
  • Screens easier to use and personalize along with a new copy capability
  • Better integration with 3rd party products
  • Allows you to manage deferred revenue and expense

Sage 100 2016 Product Update 4 (5.30.4.0)

The following is a list of enhancements and corrections added to Sage 100 2016.4 and released on February 21, 2017.

Product updates are cumulative; in other words, this update includes all enhancements and program corrections found in prior updates for version 2016. Smart Update will install only the programs that have been updated since your last update was installed.

Sage 100 Advanced and Premium Workstation Synchronization automatically updates the client workstations. If you use Sage 100 Standard over a network, run WKsUpdate Standard.exe on each workstation. This program is located in the ..\mas90\wksetup folder on the server where Sage 100 2016 Standard is installed. 

All Sage 100 updates must be installed on the server where Sage 100 is installed.
An update to the Sage Exchange Desktop (SED 2.0) is available from our web site (http://na.sage.com/log-on/) after registering for and logging into the Sage Customer or Partner Portal.

  • Download and install the Sage 100 SED 2.0 Update (AR5005T KBID 75641) on the Sage 100 2016 Server.

  • At each Sage 100 Workstation that processes Credit Card transactions, run the Sage Exchange Desktop 2.0.exe (requires Administrator privileges). This program can be found on the Sage 100 2016 Server, located in the ..\MAS90\wksetup folder.

Sage Software Releases Multi-Bin Basic for Sage 100c

Are you looking for Multi-Bin with Sage 100? After years of waiting, a big announcement has been made related to Sage 100 and Multi-Bin.
In a recent email, Sage announced Multi-Bin Basic for Sage 100c. This Basic version of DSD's (3rd party developer) Multi-Bin enhancement is being released with the Subscription version of Sage 100 (Sage 100c). What makes this even better is that Scanforce (warehouse management developer) announced their EXCLUSIVE arrangement with Sage and their integration to the Basic Multi-Bin. Sage 100 2017 Product Update 1 (5.40.1.0)

The following is a list of enhancements and corrections added to Sage 100 2017 and released on February 21, 2017.

Sage 100 Tax Table Update Q1 2016

Sage has released the 1st Quarter Payroll Update for Sage 100 ERP.  This release is available to all Sage 100 ERP customers that are current on Sage Business Care.  The update is available for Versions 2013,2014 and 2015

Payroll Tax Table Update Levels 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016

To download the TTU (Tax Table Update): 
  1. Verify that all users have exited and that all sessions are closed.
  2. Log on to the Sage Customer Portal by entering your name and password* (you must be logged in or you cannot access the Tax Table Updates).
  3. Select the Sage 100 ERP iconDownload Now
  4. Click Run. Extract the file to your local workstation. Note the location.
  5. Go to the location noted, and open Sage 100 Tax Table Update 2016Q1 folder.
  6. Double-click the file named Sage 100 Tax Table Update 2016Q1.exe.
  7. Click Run.
  8. Click Next at the Welcome to the Install Shield Wizard for Tax Table Update screen.


  9. Click I Accept to accept the Licensing Agreement.
    At the window that displays the destination folder to your installation:
    • Click Next if the destination folder is correct
    • Click Change if the destination folder is incorrect, browse to the folder above ..\Mas90, and click OK, and then click Next.
    Verify the current settings are correct again and click Install.
    Click Finish when the message "InstallShield Wizard Complete" appears.
    Verify that the installation was successful by previewing the Installed Modules Listing under the Library Master> Reports menu. Listed under Payroll module, "2016-Q1 Tax Table" should display on the listing.
  10. Under Download Product Updates section on the left toolbar, click Tax Table Updates.

2015-Q1 Tax Table Updates

Sage has released the 1st Quarter Payroll Update for Sage 100 ERP.  This release is available to all Sage 100 ERP customers that are current on Sage Business Care.  The update is available for Versions 4.50,2013,2014 and 2015

Sage Scheduled Maintenance - Monday 2-9-15

Sage will be conducting scheduled system maintenance on Monday, February 9, 2015 between 2 am and 3 am EST. During this time, all gateway services will be unavailable. Automatic settlements scheduled during this window will be processed after the maintenance has been concluded.
